December 8, 2024 by Craig Dawe

LYNN — A collaboration between Bent Water Brewing and The Relief Associations of Lynn Fire and Lynn Police has resulted in the creation of a new Guns-N-Hoses beer.

The Relief Associations of Lynn Fire and Lynn Police both aim to provide support, a sense of community, and other benefits to their members through fundraising and donations. The two associations also collaborate to host the annual Fire & Police Family Fun Day at Lynn Woods, an event that allows community members to come together and learn more about the Fire and Police Departments in Lynn.

Bent Water Brewing is a Lynn brewery that has helped support many community organizations in the past. With its new Guns-N-Hoses brew, which is a New England India Pale Ale, Bent Water donating proceeds from the beer to the Lynn Fire and Police Relief Associations.

“We could not be any happier or grateful that they agreed to work on this with us,” Capt. Stephen Stille said. “Most of our firefighters and police officers grew up in Lynn, and continue to live and raise families here. We strive to always support our local businesses, so we truly appreciate when businesses support our members and charitable causes.”

Guns-N-Hoses is currently available at the Bent Water taproom, which is located on 180 Commercial St. Additionally, on Saturday, Dec. 14, the official Guns-N-Hoses release event will be held at Bent Water, when the new beer, as well as food from Papivivi Sandwich will be available.
