This family of five needs help from Item Santa. With three kids, there’s always something going on in the household. This family relies on one source of income since the mother has to watch over the kids, one of whom is in special education programs. The wife had a job, but had to stop so she could take care of her sons and daughter.
“It’s been really hard as my husband is the only person working, I had to stop to care for my sons and daughter,” she said.
According to a Boston 25 News article, in Massachusetts, a single adult must make more than $100,000 to cover basics, wants, and savings. For a family with two sources of income and two children, that family would need to make approximately $300,000 for that same level of comfort.
This family only has one income coming from the husband and they need Item Santa’s help. Every child deserves to have presents to open on Christmas, it’s part of what makes the holiday season great.
“We are behind on our bills, so it will be really hard to purchase any gifts this year,” she said. “I came this year to ask for your help as it has been really hard on my family this year.”
The season of giving doesn’t mean giving to just your family and friends, but it’s to help others in the time of need and this woman and her husband need help to make this Christmas a wonderful one for her three kids.
“May God bless your heart for helping families that are struggling,” she said.
Now in its 58th year, the Item Santa fund helps to make Christmas brighter for the needy.
