SAUGUS — Medi Mirnasiri has been giving back to his community for 20 years now. Scrolling through a Saugus Facebook group, you can expect to see posts from Mirnasiri offering food, blankets, and a helping hand throughout the year.
“I give away turkey and ham. There have been times where I’ve provided an entire meal for families with stuffing, dessert, salad, and drinks,” Mirnasiri said.
He was also a major contributor to the COVID-19 efforts, giving away thousands of masks, hazmat suits, and hand sanitizers to police departments, paramedics, nurses, doctors, senior citizens, veterans, and families who have children with disabilities.
“Anyone who calls me or comes by and picks it up…There’s been occasions where I’ll deliver food,” he said.
Mirnasiri also has his foundation, the Magic Foundation, named after his dog, which does charitable work all year round.
“During the winter time, I give away blankets and hats. During the school year, I give backpacks, hats, and other supplies to children who are struggling…Right now, we’re about to give away 500 blankets. I’ll drive around, and if I see a homeless person, I’ll stop and give them a blanket,” Mirnasiri said.
His work has been noticed on Facebook, and many community members have spoken of his charitable works with fondness.
This year, Mirnasiri reached out to veterans, police officers, and those with special needs children once again, offering his services. Those who called him at his Auto Excellence Group office number would be given what they need this holiday season.
