SWAMPSCOTT — The town is busy updating its Master Plan to visualize what Swampscott will look like in 2035, with a key part of the project being the town’s interactive online survey to gauge input and different perspectives from residents.
The Master Plan is an extensive document that fosters a shared vision for the community, with a focus on developing policy ideas to better shape Swampscott’s future. The online survey, which launched on Nov. 16, will be open to all residents who want to voice their opinions and ideas until it closes on Jan. 13.
“Swampscott is working to update its Master Plan to envision what Swampscott will look like, and your input is essential,” the press release said.
According to the press release, the Master Plan has been carefully developed with input from advisory groups and the municipal team to properly address key issues among the community.
Back in April 2024, the Master Plan Committee was appointed by the Select Board to work with the town to help put Swampscott on a path of communal growth and improvement, where they would work toward creating policies to help nurture a green, cleaner environment.
The survey will take about 30 minutes for a resident to complete, and residents may leave and return to the survey as many times as they wish (as long as their history and cookies aren’t cleared before they come back).
