SWAMPSCOTT — Residents of all ages are encouraged to participate in a free holiday-themed concert on Jan. 4, where community members will get to hear the entire Nutcracker suite by Tchaikovsky.
The event will be hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn (UUCGL) from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Featured during the evening will be the students of Gregg Pauley Piano Studio. After the music, a reception will follow where all participants are invited to enjoy food and beverages.
According to their website, the UUCGL is a spiritual community that gathers to explore deeper truths together, to support one another through the complexities and struggles of daily life, and to serve the greater good by becoming “more passionate in thoughts, words, and actions,” the website stated.
Throughout the event, participants can expect to hear classical staples like Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel.
Pauley has performed in numerous prestigious concert halls around the U.S., such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, and Yahama Artist Studios in New York City. Currently, Pauley has two private studios located in Swampscott, MA, and Newmarket, NH, respectively.
