Arrests

Cristobal Cano Figueroa, 45, of Memorial Park, was arrested at 7:26 p.m. Thursday for charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and unclicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

Juan Colio Mendez, 25, of Goodridge Street, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. for charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unregistered motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of property damage. 

911 Hang-Ups

Reports of 911 hang-ups at 7:58 a.m. Thursday on Brookline Street and 8:10 a.m. at Breed Jr. High on O’Callaghan Way.

Reports of alarms at 3:14 a.m. Thursday on Union Street, 3:30 a.m. on Estes Street, 7:09 a.m. on Grove Street, 7:53 a.m. on Central Avenue, 10:01 a.m. on Essex Street, and 10:36 a.m. on Perkins Street.

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 4:56 p.m. on Thursday on Hill Road. Caller reporter pick-up truck in front of her home for extended period of time, owner of the truck reported playing pond hockey, area check performed.

Unwanted Person-Guest

Assist Citizen

A report of citizen assistance at 9:57 p.m. Thursday at Saugus Residential LLC on Broadway. Caller is requesting assistance with a purchase of a vehicle they made that has documentation stating their vehicle can’t be registered in Mass. Services rendered.  

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 6:43 p.m. Thursday at Walmart on Broadway. Caller reports he made an order drop off to a male in a black vehicle and the operator of the vehicle tried to slap him. Investigated, nothing found. 

Fight in Progress

A report of a fight in progress at 2:57 p.m. Thursday at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Broadway. Loss prevention reports a fight in progress and one of the involved may have gotten sprayed with mace. Services rendered. 

Hazardous Road Conditions

A report of a hazardous road condition at 6:57 p.m. Thursday at Marshalls on Broadway. Multiple callers report a shopping cart in the roadway. Services rendered; A report at 9:32 p.m. at Jersey Mike’s on Broadway. Caller reported a shopping cart in the high-speed lane. Services rendered. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Wendy’s on Broadway. Caller reports her vehicle was struck by a shopping cart. Report taken; A report at 8:57 p.m. at Cerra’s Market on Broadway. State police requested EMS for injuries after two car accidents. Removed to hospital.

Unwanted Parties

A report of an unwanted party at 11:41 a.m. Thursday at Wood Spring Extended Stay on Broadway. The manager states there’s an intoxicated guest that’s refusing to leave and making verbal threats. Services rendered; A report of 10:56 p.m. at Wood Spring Extended Stay on Broadway. The desk clerk called requesting a guest be removed from the establishment. Perpetrator(s) gone on arrival.
