SAUGUS — Officials have come out and said that no foul play has been found in the death of 21-year-old Cole Moment.
Moment was found dead at WIN Waste Innovations on New Year’s Eve by an employee, who contacted the police once he discovered the victim was unresponsive.
Saugus Police hasn’t commented on the matter; instead, they ask that questions to go to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
Moment’s family and friends have spoken out and posted on social media asking for more information on his death, hoping that they will receive answers from law enforcement soon.
WIN Waste has stated that they have sent everything they had about the incident to authorities.
“We appreciate the concern from the community and are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred on our property,” Sr. Director of Communications and Community Mary Urban said. “We have been fully cooperating with the proper authorities and provided all video and information about the event to the Saugus Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police. Since this is an open investigation, we ask that all inquiries about the event be directed to the Essex County District Attorney at 978-745-6610 / 867-741-3163 (TTY).”
Moment’s death is still under investigation by Massachusetts State Police and local law enforcement.
