The Lynn Jets boys hockey team (4-4-1) was back in the win column Saturday with a 4-1 victory against Leominster at Connery Rink. Marc Poste, AJ Lopez, John Crowley, and Anthony Alessi all found the back of the net, while Lopez and Kyle Furlong each dished out two assists.
Owen Travers joined the fun with an assist, while netminder Nick DeNino stood strong with 18 saves. Pedro Lopez and Julius Serino were named Players of the Game on the Jets’ social media.
The Jets have defeated Everett, Minuteman, and Leominster twice this season. Next up is a road game against Medford on Wednesday. Puck-drop is slated for 7 p.m. at LeConte Memorial Rink.

St. John’s Prep doubled up Saint John’s on the New England Sports Center ice in Marlboro. Brandon Ward scored the first goal of the game before finding his second on the power play. Other goal-scorers were Mason Luciano and Ryan Delucia into an empty net.

Kyle Hart recorded a goal and three assists in the Headers’ thrashing of Gloucester. Will Sullivan added two more goals, followed by Hayden Gallo (goal, assist), Crew Monaco (goal), Teddy Dulac (goal), James Mackenzie (2 assists), and London McDonald (assist). Leo Burdge played well between the pipes.

The Spartans doubled up Bishop Fenwick at McVann-O’Keefe Rink in Peabody on Saturday. Stephen Nason led the way with two goals, while Nick Thornton and Kalen Huddle had two assists apiece.

Lynnfield had no answer for Newburyport at the Henry Graf Jr. Memorial Skating Rink. The Clippers scored three goals in the first period, added another in the second, then kept things scoreless from there.

Caitlin Boyle (19 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks) and Celia Neilson (13 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals) catapulted the Lady Crusaders (5-3) to a home win Sunday afternoon. Also contributing were Kyleigh Pidgeon (9 points), Kiley Bloom (5), and Reese Spurchise (5).

St. Mary’s swam for success at home and took down Arlington Catholic. Isabella Morillo finished first in the 100 butterfly (1:04:23) and 100 backstroke (1:06:16) to qualify for sectionals and states. Luka Kukolj secured a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle (1:06:21). Gaby Martins finished second in the 50 freestyle (27:93), while Travis Smith took third in the 50 (29:72) and 100 (1:18:56) freestyles.
