No halftime lead, no problem.
Bishop Fenwick’s girls basketball team, helmed by coach Adam DeBaggis, upped its record to 6-3 with a 47-32 home win against Whitman-Hanson Wednesday evening.
The Lady Crusaders trailed, 26-18, at halftime but outscored Whitman-Hanson, 29-6, in the second half – one that included a 20-0 third-quarter run.
Leading the way were junior captains Caitlin Boyle (22 points, 7 rebounds) and Celia Neilson (17 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists). Reese Spurchise, Caroline Perry, and Abby Jenkins “played tremendous defense in the second half,” according to DeBaggis.
Fenwick heads to Cardinal Spellman on Friday with tip-off slated for 5:30 p.m.

“We got a lot of contributions from many players. We defended our home court tonight,” said Breen, whose Pioneers are 3-6 and 2-4 in the Cape Ann League. “It got close… but we scored enough to hold off the charge by a scrappy Manchester-Essex team.”
