BOSTON — Sebastien Bejin, 34, of Lynn, pleaded guilty in federal court in Boston Wednesday for the role he played in a large-scale drug trafficking organization on the North Shore, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office.
Fentanyl and methamphetamine were seized from a stash and laboratory being used by the organization. The street value is believed to be worth $7 million.
Sebastien, also known as “Bash,” pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possessing controlled substances with intent to distribute. He also pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, according to the release.
Bejin was charged in November 2023, and U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris has scheduled sentencing for May 1.
The investigation started in July 2023 when an overdose death occurred in Salem, leading investigators to the drug trafficking organization allegedly being led by Bejin and co-conspirators Emilio Garcia and Deiby Felix, according to the release.
Four searches were conducted in Lynn at places frequented by Garcia and Bejin. The searches resulted in what is believed to be one of the largest single-location seizures in Massachusetts and the region, according to the release.
The details in this case are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
