LYNN

Arrests
Justin Dawkins, 43, of Jackson Street, was arrested at 10:34 a.m. Wednesday for charges of violating parole/probation. Dawkins was issued a warrant for violating parole/probation.

Benjamin Colarusso, 60, of Sagamore Street, was arrested at 12:23 p.m. for charges of two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, miscellaneous statutory violation. 

911 Hang-Ups
Reports of 911 hang-ups at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday on Nahant Street, 5:00 a.m. on Saunders Road, 8:13 a.m. on Whiting Street, and 12:23 p.m. on Brookline Street.

Alarms
Reports of alarms at 12:35 a.m. at St. Stephens Church on South Common Street, 2:25 a.m. on Oneida Street, 2:53 a.m. at Zimmans on Market Street, 2:56 a.m. on Washington Street, 9:46 a.m. on State Street, 10:49 a.m. on Edge Hill Road, and 12:16 p.m. on Wardwell Avenue. 

Area Checks
Reports of area checks at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday at Barry Park on Waterford Street, 1:47 a.m. at Ingalls Elementary on Collins Street, 2:09 a.m. on Washington Street, 3:04 a.m. on Washington Street, 3:34 a.m. at Barry Park on Waterford Street, 7:13 a.m. on Goodridge Street, 7:15 a.m. at Drewicz Elementary on Hood Street, 7:24 a.m. at Classical High on O’Callaghan Way, and 7:35 a.m. at St. Pius School on Maple Street.

Disturbance
A report of a disturbance at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday at Eclipse Lounge & Grill on Central Avenue.

A report of larceny at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday on Union Street.

Motor Vehicles
Reports of motor vehicle accidents at 10:47 a.m. Wednesday on Hawthorne Street and 12 p.m. on Chatham Street and Hampden Place. Reports of motor vehicle stops at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday on Central Avenue and 9:26 a.m. on O’Callaghan Way.  

Noise Complaint
A report of a noise complaint at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday on Harwood Street.  

Trespassing
Reports of trespassing at 1:01 a.m. Wednesday at Eastern Bank on Market Street, 1:15 a.m. at Bank of America on State Street, and 6:06 a.m. on Central Avenue.

Vandals
A report of vandals at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday on Alley Street.

A report of a data breach at 5:23 p.m. on Wednesday on Broughton Road. Investigated. 

Found/Lost Property
Reports of found/lost property at 2:25 p.m. on Wednesday on Pleasant Street and School Street. Services rendered; at 4:07 p.m. on Stonybrook Road. Services rendered.

General Complaint
A report of a general complaint at 6:46 p.m. on Wednesday on Pleasant Street. Services rendered. 

Motor Vehicle Stops
Reports of motor vehicle stops at 4:12 p.m. on Wednesday on Beach Street and Atlantic Avenue. Verbal warning; at 4:45 p.m. on Shetland Road and Humphrey Street. Citation; at 5:33 p.m. on Humphrey Street. Verbal warning; at 5:50 p.m. on Curtis Street and Elm Street. Verbal warning; at 6:09 p.m. on Ocean Avenue. Citation.

PEABODY

911 Hang-Ups
At 9:40 a.m., a 911 hang-up occurred at Essex Center Drive. It was determined to be accidental after a callback. Another call at 9:55 a.m. at Lahey Medical Center was also confirmed accidental.

Alarms – Burglar
Officers responded to a burglary alarm at Carewell Urgent Care on Andover Street at 6:10 a.m. The building was checked and found secure.

Assist Citizens
At 9:05 a.m., a resident at Travel Leather Co. on Wallis Street requested assistance with a VIN verification. In addition, officers helped a party at 2:50 p.m. at Peabody District Court to address vehicle damage concerns.

Building Checks
Routine property checks included Temple Tiferet Shalom on Lowell Street at 12:35 a.m. and Bishop Fenwick High School on Margin Street at 1:33 a.m. All properties were secure.

Medical Emergencies
Medical emergencies included a patient with breathing difficulties transported to Salem Hospital from Walnut Street at 6:10 a.m., and an elderly individual with a fall at 3:37 p.m. on Brooksby Village Drive. Both incidents were resolved.

Motor Vehicle Accidents
A vehicle crashed into a pole on Lynn Street at 9:03 a.m., requiring a tow and transport of the driver to Salem Hospital. Another accident at 1:28 p.m. involved minor damage and no injuries.

Suspicious Activity
Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle parked at a residence on Mason Street at 11:48 p.m. The vehicle was checked, and no issues were found.

 

SAUGUS

Arrest
John A. Deveau, of Sunset Road, was arrested at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday for a charge of a single warrant. 

Alarms
A report of an alarm at 5:04 a.m. Wednesday on Nason Road. Accidental/defective alarm; A report at 6:26 a.m. at Polcari’s Restaurant on Broadway. Accidental/defective alarm. 

DPW Complaint
A report of a DPW complaint at 10:26 a.m. Wednesday on Walnut Street. Saugus DPW requested National Grid for a power outage. Referred to another agency; A report at 12:06 p.m. on Essex Street. Caller stated there was a Christmas tree in the roadway. DPW notified.  

Harassment
A walk-in report of harassment at 5:18 a.m. Wednesday at Dunkin’ on Broadway. Wall-in came into the station regarding harassment. Report taken.

Motor Vehicles
A report of a motor vehicle accident at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday on Walnut Street. Callers report a vehicle into a pole. Report taken; a report at 7:07 a.m. on Walnut Street. Officers report a two-car accident. Report taken; a report at 10:58 a.m. at Cliftondale Square on Lincoln Avenue at Smith Road. Caller reports a two-car accident in the rotary of Cliftondale Square. Services rendered; a report at 11:14 a.m. on Serino Way. Caller reports she was involved in an accident on Bristow Street and the other person did not fully exchange information. Services rendered; a report at 1:54 p.m. on Route 1 South on the 99 split. Caller reports an accident with injuries. Services rendered; a report at 5:19 p.m. on Riverbank Road. Multiple callers report an accident. Report taken; a report of a motor vehicle stop at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday at Stop & Shop on Main Street. Verbal warning; A report at 11:29 a.m. on Winter Street. Citation warning. 

Suspicious Activity
A report of suspicious activity at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday on Westland Avenue. Caller reported suspicious activity outside of her house. Investigated, nothing found. 

Suspicious Person
A report of a suspicious person at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Main Street. Caller requests assistance from police dealing with a homeless person who has been living on the property. Arrest made.

Unwanted Party
A report of an unwanted party at 4:46 a.m. Wednesday at Dunkin’ on Broadway. Caller reports a male that was previously trespassed has entered the premises and is causing issues. Services rendered.
