Three cheers for computer science! Mr. Luke Richards and his students at Lynn Classical just received the College Board Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s participation in Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Principles. Lynn Superintendent Dr. Evonne Alvarez says that female students who take this AP course are five times more likely to major in computer science when they get to college.
“We are absolutely thrilled that the College Board is recognizing Mr. Luke Richards and the young women that take that course that we are so proud to offer,” she continued. “We look for continued success from our students as we continue to expand our advanced placement course offerings.“
