Swampscott had its Senior Night for its boy’s basketball team on Friday against Winthrop. The Big Blue took care of business and got their seniors a win on their night 75-29.
Connor Chiarello led all scorers with 32 points. Freshman Teddy O’Neill chipped in with 13 points while Gabe Tripp (6) and Tyler Sanders (5)also contributed to the win.
Swampscott is now 8-4 and will host Lynn Tech on Tuesday.
BOYS BASKETBALL

Two Pioneers registered double-doubles with Alex Fleming (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Madux Iovinelli (12 points, 12 rebounds) leading the way for Lynnfield. Harris Hadzihasanovic added 10 points to help Lynnfield pick up a road victory. The win makes it 8-3 on the year for the Pioneers.

The Fishermen reeled in the Sachems on Friday night. Leading the way for Saugus was Cam Victor who scored 16 points. Ryan Shea (9 points) and Jordan Rodriguez (6) chipped in for Saugus.

Marblehead 33
It was a night to forget for the Magicians who couldn’t get it going against the Panthers. Marblehead will look to get back to winning ways on Monday against Masconomet.

Peabody 45
The Tanners couldn’t protect their home court against the Chieftains. Despite the loss, head coach Thad Broughton said he was “very proud” of his team’s effort.
Jariel Tolentino led the way for Peabody scoring 21 points while Thad Broughton Jr. scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds. Mark Mendonca finished with five points and six rebounds.

Bishop Fenwick 46
The Spartans kept on rolling with a double-digit victory over conference rival Bishop Fenwick. St. Mary’s have yet to taste defeat and are currently 13-0.
JJ Martinez led the way for St. Mary’s posting a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Lynn Tech 45

In a game that came down to the wire, the Tigers (9-3) came out on top. Engelyz Bingham (15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals) did a bit of everything for Lynn Tech. Teammate Amy Huynh scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help the Tigers protect home court.

The Big Blue picked up a big road win against the Vikings on Monday. Swampscott was down by six points entering halftime, but dug deep and pulled out a three-point victory.
Freshman guard, Anna Kanders, led all scorers with 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Sam Ward scored eight points and Olivia Quagrello scored seven points but was everywhere on defense finishing with six steals.
Winthrop was led by Sophia Lindinger who scored 13 points. Angela Tshowa scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.
Somerville 45
Lynn Classical 22
It was a tough night for the Lady Rams as they were defeated by a talented Somerville team.
“You have to give credit where credit is due. Somerville played a very good game in all facets. You have to give them credit,” Classical coach Tom Sawyer said. “They played really well tonight.”
The loss moved the Rams to 10-3 on the season.

In a defensive contest the Pioneers fell short of Pentucket. Despite the loss, Lynnfield’s Chloe Grieves had a big game on the glass. Grieves scored seven points and pulled in 18 rebounds to go along with three assists.
Lynnfield will look to bounce back on Tuesday when it hosts Georgetown at 5:30 p.m.
