Building appears to be secure; A report at 5:03 p.m. at Saugus Senior Center on Central Street. Services rendered; A report at 6:23 p.m. at the old 99 Restaurant on Broadway. Building appears to be secured; A report at 10:53 p.m. at Belmonte STEAM Academy on Dow Street. Building appears to be secure.  

Disturbances

A report of a disturbance at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Floor and Decor on Main Street. Caller reports a man walking around screaming and waving an item at those who pass by, possibly a stick. No police service necessary; A report at 10:53 p.m. at Red Roof Inn on Broadway. Front desk clerk is having an issue with a guest trying to retrieve lost property. Services rendered.  

Found Property

A report of found property at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street. Caller reports a blue duffel bag that appeared to be abandoned. Services rendered; A report at 1:50 p.m. on Putnam Street. Police were notified of a discarded small safe along the rail trail possibly by Penny Brook. Report taken. 

Hazardous Road Conditions

A report of a hazardous road condition at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. Snow and road conditions. DPW notified; A report at 8:36 a.m. on Main Street at Lynn Fells Parkway. Caller reports light stuck on red phase. Referred to other agency; A report at 5:48 p.m. at Michael’s Crafts on Broadway. Removed carriage from highway. Services rendered.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 9:19 p.m. Wednesday on Broadway at Walnut Street. Callers report an accident and the two involved parties are causing a scene. Report taken. 

A report of motor vehicle recovery at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday at U-HAUL Co. on Broadway. Manager requests police to recover a stolen trailer that is in his lot. Services rendered.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 8:06 a.m. on Eastman Avenue and Essex Street. The officer reported the incident was called in by a vehicle automated system and parties were gone upon arrival of the officer; A report at 11:09 a.m. on Buirril Street. The officer reported that the rear of the Ford made contact with the front bumper of the Volkswagen causing minor damage. The officer reported no injuries.

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run at 8:25 a.m. on Blogett Ave. The responding officer noted a past accident involving the motor vehicle.
