LYNN — The Essex County District Attorney’s Office and Lynn Police Department are investigating an apparent homicide that occurred Monday evening.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., Lynn Police responded to a residence on Stanwood Street to conduct a well-being check on the resident at the request of family members.
Officers discovered a 48-year-old Lynn man with apparent signs of trauma, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports state that the man found dead was Ilias Mavros, owner of Crazy Buzzy’s Roast Beed and Seafood.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to District Attorney Paul F. Tucker’s office, Lynn Police, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are conducting an active and ongoing investigation.
