LTTE: Trump’s hypocrisies need more scrutiny

To the editor

February 4, 2025 by To the editor

To the editor:

I hope a few good journalists are keeping track of Trump’s obnoxious hypocrisies. Here are a few for the list:

1. Trump recently announced he will restore free speech to America. The funny thing is, that big liberal newspapers don’t feel free enough to let their editorial departments do their thing. The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times owners wouldn’t let their opinion people endorse Trump’s opponent.

2. Tulsi Gabbard will oversee our national secrets as Director of National Intelligence. However, she famously sought a pardon for Edward Snowden, the infamous leaker of thousands of classified national intelligence secrets.

3. Trump has crusaded against DEI initiatives, but many of his cabinet nominees are essentially DEI hires, meaning hired for reasons other than being qualified for the job.

4. RFK, Jr. hates vaccines but loves the money vaccine companies make. He gets rich off lawsuits filed against vaccine companies.

5. Trump wants Canada to exert its sovereignty by paying more to support NATO, but at the same time threatens to annex Canada to the United States. Pay up, or we’ll hurt your family.
