Swampscott High School was the place to be Tuesday night as boys basketball star Connor Chiarello, only a junior, netted his 1,000th point in the Big Blue’s 68-55 win against Danvers. As a sophomore last season, the crafty guard led Swampscott in points (18 per game), assists (4), rebounds (4.3), and steals (3.4). Tuesday, Chiarello scored a team-high 23 points, followed by Teddy O'Neill (21 points) and Noah Baskin (6). The Big Blue upped their record to 10-7 before Thursday’s road game against Lynn Classical.
