The Eagles basketball team got a big home win on Senior Night against Methuen 71-68.
St. John’s Prep head coach David Clay got balanced scoring from his team with eight different players scoring at least a point.
Michael Miller led the Eagles with 22 points and was lights out from distance dialing in six threes. Brian Norton also had the hot hand adding 14 points and hitting three threes.
St. John’s Prep connected on 20 threes which were enough to get by Methuen by three points.

The Crusaders picked up an important road win against the Falcons.
Damon Mataragas finished with a team-high 18 points while both Nate Alder and Vincent Finnochio chipped in with 11 points.

The Big Blue continues to roll with a 21-point win over the Fishermen.
Connor Chiarello led the team with 30 points while Chase Groothuis added 15 and freshman Teddy O’Neill poured in 13 points. Swampscott got six points from Adam Sparacio to help them get the win.
Swampscott moves to 12-7 on the year and will play an endowment game on Monday against New Mission at home.
