LYNN — The MBTA has officially announced the start dates for the 2025 ferry season, including significant service upgrades for the Winthrop and Quincy Ferry routes.
Key changes include increased service as weekday trips will double, with separate direct routes between Winthrop-Boston and Quincy-Boston, and travel time from Winthrop to Boston will be reduced by approximately 30 minutes.
Season Start Dates:
Winthrop and Quincy Ferry: Weekday service begins April 28; weekend service starts May 24.
Lynn Ferry: Weekday service resumes March 31; weekend service starts May 24.
Hingham/Hull Ferry: Year-round weekday service continues; weekend service starts May 24.
East Boston Ferry: Weekday and weekend service resumes March 31.
Charlestown Ferry: Continues year-round operations.
