NORWELL — Lynnfield’s boys basketball team (15-7), ranked No. 15 in Division 3, was eliminated by No. 2 Norwell (22-0) in a 70-48 final on Tuesday.

Norwell advanced to the Round of 8 against No. 10 Hanover (TBD).

Despite defeat, Lynnfield Coach John Bakopolus said he couldn’t have been more proud of his players.

“A tough ending to, overall, a really good year,” he said. “I am so proud of these kids and especially the six seniors who accomplished so much these last few years and leave behind an incredible impact on Lynnfield High School.”

Harris Hadzihasanovic (12 points) and Alex Fleming (9) led the Pioneers.
