Trump said in his speech to Congress, “My first month was the most successful in the history of the nation.” He added, “Number two is George Washington.” So, Trump unified and uplifted the nation better in one month than George Washington? Not likely. George Washington was everybody’s hero. But among ignorant people the propaganda statement itself carries all the weight and is all that matters.
Marjorie Taylor Green wore a red hat with the words, “Trump was right about everything.” With propaganda, it’s okay to make final judgments after only one month of a four-year term and after only one day of tariff imposition. Nothing has shaken out on tariffs yet, but we already know Trump was right. That’s the true gold of propaganda. Might makes all its statements right.
