BOSTON — In their final tune-ups before the New Balance Indoor Nationals Championship on March 13-16 in Boston, the Peabody track teams had a couple of strong performances during Saturday’s Rising Stars meet at The Track at New Balance.
Peyton Smith led the way with a seventh-place showing in the 55-hurdles (7.83). He also competed in the 200 (59th, 23.98).
Lauren Foley was the top female performer with an 11th-place finish in the 400 (1:03.7). Avery Marcus (1:03.48) and Jane Haight (1:05.37) were close behind in 12th and 17th, respectively.
Makayla Kokonezis finished 12th in the long jump (14-09.5), while Omar (31st, 53.99) and Osama Mishal (42nd, 55.45) competed in the 400.
