Perfect Hue arrives in Nahant

NAHANT — Community members and public officials gathered at Nahant Road on Saturday afternoon to witness the ribbon cutting for Perfect Hue, a brand-new hair salon destination in town.

Located at 147 Nahant Road, owner and Nahant resident Miya Spinucci spoke about bringing her talents to town and the impact she hopes to make. She recounted how her mother-in-law formerly ran a salon in the building — Antoinette’s — and how returning to the space has brought everything full circle for Spinucci.

“When I first met my husband, his mother loved me right away just because I was a hair-stylist,” she said. She gifted Spinucci with the sign that hung in Antonnette’s, which Spinucci displays proudly in her salon. “I really wanted this vintage glam feel for the place, and the sign was perfect,” she said. “I thought, ‘It’s time to bring the sign home. ’”

Perfect Hue is the second salon that Spinucci owns, and the other is based in Boston. It has three other staff members aside from Spinucci, who are eager to bring their own spin and expertise to hair styling.

According to its website, Perfect Hue is a collection of artists, manicurists and estheticians looking to bring the best of big city offerings to the smaller North Shore communities. “Great beauty experiences shouldn’t start with a trek into the city,” the website reads.

Town Administrator Tony Barletta spoke on the addition of the new business to Nahant. “We don’t get too many ribbon cuttings here in Nahant, so when we do, we do it big,” Barletta said. “It’s great to have the community here, and to have one of our own open up their own business in town, that’s really pretty cool.”
