To the editor:
It is a pivotal time in Swampscott to make your voice heard. The election for the Select Board is an easy one for me, and I am asking you to join me in re-electing MaryEllen Fletcher. I am confident MaryEllen is again ready to take on the demanding time commitment, willing to do the research to understand the complexities of issues and will show her resilience in the face of inevitable scrutiny. MaryEllen has my trust because of her character and integrity, and I know she is driven simply out of wanting to do what is best for the citizens of our town.
MaryEllen is the current chair of the Select Board and coupled with her six years of experience on the critical Finance Committee, she has exhibited decisive leadership qualities which have distinguished her as an exceptional candidate for re-election.
It is with the utmost confidence that I share my support for MaryEllen. She embodies the characteristics of what our town needs and deserves.
