NAHANT — Between the complex juggling act of balancing school, homework and life itself — Johnson Elementary School students are now busy testing out their new material for the upcoming comedy show fundraiser.
The event is on Thursday at 6 p.m. and will be a collaboration between the school and Giggles Comedy Club in Saugus. Every member of the community is encouraged to head down to 517 Broadway to participate, grab food and refreshments and support the Johnson School class of 2028.
Johnson Elementary School Principal Kevin Andrews noted that proceeds from the event will go toward supporting future endeavors of the class of 2028 and that he hopes residents and family members of students will show up to support the new batch of comedians.
“It’s a very fun event, and I’m happy to support the students,” Andrews said. “It’d be great to have people come down and support the kids for a good cause.”
Those in attendance can expect to see the students perform their best material for the crowd, and tickets are $35.
