LTTE: Elworthy’s leadership drives progress

To the editor

March 18, 2025 by To the editor

To the editor:

I’m reaching out to share why I believe Kristen Grieco Elworthy deserves to be re-elected to the School Committee, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting her this April 8th.

Kristen has been an amazing advocate for Lynnfield Public Schools, and the progress we’ve seen under her leadership speaks for itself. Thanks to her dedication, we’re in a much stronger place than we were just a year ago. She’s worked hard to rebuild trust and create a better environment for both teachers and students.

As a member of the School Committee, Kristen has always kept the focus on what really matters: our kids and their education. She approaches her role with professionalism and respect, and she’s always mindful of the bigger picture. Whether it’s overseeing budgets, setting policies, or evaluating the superintendent, Kristen ensures that everything is aligned with the best interests of the district.

Kristen has been involved in some key initiatives that have really made a difference. She published a midyear progress report for Superintendent Geary, set up school and community coffee sessions to promote open conversations, and built strong relationships with local leaders to advocate for the needs of our schools. She also played a part in updating policies on cell phones and dress codes, making a noticeable impact on how our schools operate.

On top of all that, Kristen’s experience with budgeting and collective bargaining shows she’s committed to managing our resources wisely while making sure our teachers have what they need to succeed.

What really sets Kristen apart is her independent thinking. She’s able to work with others and build consensus, but she never loses sight of what’s best for our kids and the future of Lynnfield Public Schools.

I encourage you to re-elect Kristen Grieco Elworthy to the School Committee. Her leadership has been invaluable, and she’s exactly what our schools need to continue growing and thriving.

Sincerely,

Krista Papagni
