Brian Vaughan, who coached Lynn Classical’s varsity football team for the last eight seasons, has accepted the head coaching position at Arlington Catholic. It’s the fifth head coaching job in Vaughan’s career.
Last season, his injury-plagued Rams went 3-7 with wins against Medford, Malden, and Somerville. The year prior, Classical finished 6-5 with a Thanksgiving Day victory against traditional archrival Lynn English. Vaughan’s son and quarterback, Brian Jr., was named Greater Boston League Player of the Year that season.
