LYNN

Arrests

Christopher Burke, 38, of Newhall Street, Lynn, was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday on a default warrant and two outstanding warrants for assault and battery on ambulance personnel and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.

Edward McCusker, 42, of Whiting Street, Lynn, was arrested at 5:24 p.m. Wednesday on charges of breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, defacing property, larceny from a building, and attempting to commit a crime.

Japhal Perez, 35, of Willow Street, Lynn, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday on three straight warrants and additional charges of disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, threat to commit a crime, breaking and entering at nighttime for a felony (two counts), and larceny under $1,200.

Martin Perez Quintuna, 51, of Highland Avenue, Lynn, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield.

Yekaterina Povolotskaya, 74, of Paradise Road, Swampscott, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of trespassing.

Ja’Kahri Smith, 22, of 17th Avenue, Paterson, was arrested at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant.

911 Hang-ups

Reports of 911 hang-ups at 1:46 a.m. Wednesday on Silsbee Street, 9:33 a.m. on Ashland Street, and 9:07 p.m. on Tracy Avenue.

Alarms

Reports of alarms at 1:39 a.m. Wednesday on Market Square, 7:28 p.m. at Fayette Street and Williams Avenue, and 7:41 p.m. at Aaron’s on Union Street.

Assault

Reports of assault at 6:29 p.m. Wednesday on Stephen Street.

Breaking & Entering

Reports of breaking and entering at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday on Franklin Street (past), 4:44 p.m. on Brookvale Street (in progress), and 11:04 p.m. at Silsbee Street and Union Street.

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances at 2:09 a.m. Wednesday on Rockaway Street, 2:21 a.m. on Warren Street, 8:39 a.m. on Union Street, 5:56 p.m. at Minute Man Tax on Lewis Street, and 10:03 p.m. on Curwin Terrace.

Fights

Reports of a fight at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday on Warren Street.

Larceny

Reports of larceny at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday on Needhams Landing Road, 5:41 p.m. on Stephen Street, and 6:50 p.m. on Munroe Street.

Motor Vehicles

Reports of motor vehicle accidents at 8:31 a.m. Wednesday at Dunkin’ Donuts on Western Avenue, 9:48 a.m. on Sheridan Street, 2:54 p.m. at Boston Street and Franklin Street, and 5:02 p.m. at Acorn Street and High Rock Street.

Reports of hit-and-run motor vehicle accidents at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday on Western Avenue and 6:09 p.m. on Franklin Street.

Reports of motor vehicle stops throughout Wednesday, including at 12:14 a.m. on Chestnut Street, 12:32 a.m. on Centre Street, 12:46 a.m. on Boston Street, 2:57 a.m. on Newhall Street, 3:07 a.m. on Western Avenue, 3:55 a.m. on Western Avenue, 7:33 a.m. on Western Avenue, 10:50 a.m. on Franklin Street, 3:06 p.m. on O’Callaghan Way, 5:02 p.m. on Commercial Street, 5:23 p.m. on Blossom Street, 6:43 p.m. on Chatham Street, and 7:45 p.m. on Goldthwait Street.

Noise Complaints

Reports of noise complaints at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday on Friend Street, 2:13 a.m. on Green Street, 7:07 p.m. on Empire Street, 8:48 p.m. on Ashland Street, and 9:58 p.m. on Empire Street.

Shoplifting

Reports of shoplifting at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Family Dollar on Union Street.

Suspicious Activity

Reports of suspicious activity at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday on Central Avenue, 8:18 p.m. on Deer Cove Street, and 11:07 p.m. on Farrar Street.

Trespassing

Reports of trespassing at 7:57 a.m. Wednesday on Willow Street, 11:42 a.m. on Andrew Street, and 4:48 p.m. on Andrew Street.

SAUGUS 

Alarms

A report of a burglar alarm at 2 a.m. Wednesday on Dow Street. Building appears to be secure; a report at 2:24 a.m. at Eastern Bank on Broadway. Building appears to be secure.

Animal Complaint

A report of an animal complaint at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday on Denver Street at Dow Street. Caller reported a loose dog with no leash or collar. Services rendered. 

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday at Kasabuski Hockey Rink on Forest Street. Caller reported two women arguing over a game. Peace restored. 

DPW Complaint

A report of a DPW complaint at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on Gilway Street. Officer requested National Grid respond for pole. National Grid notified. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 3:06 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Lincoln Avenue. Report taken. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday on Hamilton Street. Citation issued (civil/crim.); a report at 11:41 a.m. Citation warning. 

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 11:02 a.m. at the Paper Store on Broadway. Caller reported a shoplifting at the Paper Store. Suspects were three females. Report taken; a report at 12:51 p.m. at Kohl’s on Broadway. Loss prevention called to report shoplifting. The suspect fled the area in a small, dark-colored sedan. Report taken. 

Unwanted Party

A report of an unwanted party at 1:32 p.m. at Extended Stay on Broadway. A caller from hotel management reported a female refusing to leave. Services rendered. 

Trespassing

A report of trespassing at 5:38 a.m. Wednesday at Dunkin’ on Broadway. Caller reported there was a male who had previously been trespassed from the property. Perpetrator(s) gone on arrival.
