LYNN

Arrests

Garmai Lavela, 38, of Vernon Street, was arrested Tuesday for charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (5 counts) and assault and battery (2 counts).

Herbie Jacobs, 34, of Browning Avenue, was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Tuesday for charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop/yield, and a straight warrant. Jacobs was issued warrants for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding. 

Aaron Duffy, 39, of Atlantic Street, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday for a charge of a straight warrant. Duffy was issued a warrant for carrying a dangerous weapon.

George K. Andrinopoulos, 49, of Aborn Street, will be summoned for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and number plate violation at 6:48 p.m. on Pierpont Street.

Arrest

Mark Anthony Cantone, an 17-and-over male of Kennedy Drive was arrested at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday for charges of exhibiting another’s license, having an unregistered motor vehicle, having an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of a Class B drg, and possession of a Class C drug. 

Alarms

A report of a burglar alarm at 2:21 a.m. Tuesday on Iron Works Way. Building appears to be secure; a report at 3:17 a.m. at Lincoln Ave Market on Lincoln Avenue. Building appears to be secure; a report at 11:18 a.m. at Lilac Dental on Broadway. Canceled prior to arrival. 

Assist Citizen

A report of citizen assistance at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday at Uber on Broadway. Caller reported that he lost his cell phone in an Uber and employees were refusing to help in. Services rendered.

Disturbances

A report of a disturbance at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday at Macy’s on Broadway. Caller reported two juveniles throwing water balloons off the upper deck. Area search negative; a report at 6:54 p.m. at Nick’s Place on Central Street. Caller reported a large group of juveniles causing a disturbance. Dispersed gathering; a report at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday on Allard Street. Caller reported she had been on her front porch and a vehicle drove up and a male stated “mam mam mam” and drove off. The caller was extremely upset and requested an officer. Unfounded.  

Found Property

A report of found property at 2:50 p.m. tuesday on Forest Street. Resident called saying she believed she may have found a baggie containing drugs. Item brought to station.  

License Plate Lost/Stolen

A report of a license plate lost/stolen at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday at the Red Roof Inn on Broadway. Caller reported that the rear license plate to his car was missing. Services rendered. 

Motor Vehicles

A walk-in report of abreak and entry into a motor vehicle at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. A man walked into the station reporting that after returning from Florida his car was broken into; a walk-in report at 6:58 p.m. at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. A man walked into the station to report that his car had been broken into around 3:30 and 6:40 p.m.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday at the YMCA on Main Street. Caller reported an accident with air bags deployed. There were no reports of injuries. Report taken. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday on Central Street. Arrest of a 17-and-over male made.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday at Cash for Gold on Broadway. Caller reported seeing a group of youths collecting outside the abandoned building. State Police reported receiving a call reporting the youths had been spray painting the side of the building. Investigated, nothing found.  

Suspicious Person

A report of a suspicous person at 2:14 p.m. Tuesday on Vine Street. Caller was not home but reported a male on a scooter looking through his home’s windows. He was watching from the Ring camera. Services rendered.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at Saugus Rehabilitation & Nursing on Lincoln Avenue. Caller was an employee and reported that her car was scratched while she was at work.

Reports of suspicious activity at 3:42 p.m. on Cedar Hill Terrace and 7:24 p.m. on Walker Road, where a caller reported three young males threw a soda can out the car window at two females.
