LYNN — Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after a foot chase through Curwin Circle ended with one suspect firing a shot before surrendering, according to police.
Detectives with the Lynn Police Gang Unit were conducting an investigation in the area around 3:27 p.m. on March 26 when several individuals fled on foot. During the pursuit, police said a suspect discharged a single round before being taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
Officers arrested Alexander Pinder, 18, of Chelsea, and Cesar Brito Flores, 20, of Saugus. Both are facing firearm-related charges, and police said additional charges may be filed pending further investigation. Two illegally possessed firearms were recovered at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lynn Police Department.
