DANVERS — Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School is proud to announce it has received a Clean Energy Workforce Training Equipment award of $257,585. This funding was made possible through a generous grant from the GE Vernova Foundation and the Massachusetts Workforce Skills Cabinet.

The awarded funds will enable the school to invest in cutting-edge, hands-on training equipment to integrate clean energy technologies into its existing HVAC and Electrical programs. By incorporating these state-of-the-art tools into its curriculum, Essex North Shore will be positioned as the center of clean energy education, providing students with the skills necessary for the growing and evolving energy industry.

This grant is aimed explicitly at Career and Technical Education (CTE) schools, ensuring that underemployed, unemployed, daytime, and adult students receive access to advanced training in clean energy methods. The initiative is a commitment to addressing workforce development challenges, fostering economic opportunities, and promoting sustainability.

“Receiving the Commonwealth Corporation Foundation’s Clean Energy Equipment Grant is a tremendous honor and an invaluable investment in our students’ futures. With this support, our students will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge clean energy technologies, preparing them to be leaders in sustainable industries. We are deeply grateful for this opportunity to enhance our curriculum and empower our students to drive innovation and progress in clean energy,” Dr. Heidi Riccio stated.

Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School extends its deepest gratitude to the GE Vernova Foundation and the Massachusetts Workforce Skills Cabinet for their vision and dedication to advancing clean energy education. This award represents a crucial step toward building a skilled workforce that can drive innovation and sustainable growth in Massachusetts and beyond.
