LYNN

Arrests

Romeo Lopez, 33, of Hollingsworth Street, was arrested at 8:16 a.m. Friday on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

Julio Lugo, 23, of Eastern Avenue, was arrested at 9:18 a.m. Friday on charges of OUI liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, one-way street violation, and three counts of leaving the scene of property damage.

Derek Emmett, 52, of unknown address, was arrested at 11:52 a.m. Friday on charges of breaking and entering for misdemeanor, trespass, and two counts of straight warrant.

Luis Paredes Acosta, 24, of Commercial Street, was arrested at 1:44 p.m. Saturday on a charge of courtesy booking.

Jessica Hawkins-Wiley, 52, of Willow Street, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Saturday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, straight warrant, and assault and battery.

John Oneal, 73, of Harrison Avenue, Revere, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Saturday on a charge of trespass.

Wilmer Amaya-Palacios, 48, of Grove Street, was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Saturday on charges of use of another’s dumpster and straight warrant.

911 Hang-ups

Reports of 911 hang-ups Friday at 1:16 p.m. on Princeton Terrace, 4:55 p.m. on Verona Street, 5:08 p.m. on Boston Street, and 5:22 p.m. on Washington Street (two calls).

Reports of 911 hang-ups Saturday at 1:18 a.m. on Atlantic Terrace, 6:06 a.m. on Walnut Street, 10:22 a.m. on Deer Park, 10:40 a.m. on Boston Street, 12:50 p.m. on Western Avenue, 1:14 p.m. on Washington Street, 1:22 p.m. on Western Avenue, and 7:49 p.m. on North Common Terrace.

Alarms

Reports of alarms Friday at 12:02 a.m. on Boston Street, 12:15 a.m. on Lynnway, 1:33 a.m. at Lynn English on Goodridge Street, 7:24 a.m. on Lynnway, 12:19 p.m. on Erie Street, 3:29 p.m. on Union Street, and 4:08 p.m. on Market Street.

Reports of alarms Saturday at 12:33 a.m. at Pride Kia on Lynnway, 12:46 a.m. at Pride Hyundai on Lynnway, 4:32 a.m. on Euclid Avenue, 4:32 a.m. at EKS Corporation on Western Avenue, and 10:53 a.m. on Lynnway.

Animal Complaints

Reports of animal complaints Friday at 8:05 a.m. on Marianna Street, 8:11 a.m. at Clark Street Playground, 9:53 a.m. on Western Avenue, and 12:48 p.m. on Lawton Avenue.

Saturday reports included 9:50 a.m. at 79 Clark Street in the northwest sector.

Area Checks

Reports of area checks Friday at 2:36 a.m. at Curwin Circle, 3:02 a.m. at Meadow Court, 3:24 a.m. at the shelter on Washington Street, 3:52 a.m. at Barry Park on Waterford Street, 7:00 a.m. at Sisson Elementary on Conomo Avenue, 8:14 a.m. at Lynn English on Goodridge Street, 2:24 p.m. again at the shelter on Washington Street, 2:25 p.m. at Classical High School on O’Callaghan Way, and 2:51 p.m. at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute on Neptune Boulevard.

Reports of area checks Saturday at 1:45 a.m. at Curwin Circle, 3:01 a.m. again at Curwin Circle, and 3:12 a.m. at Camp Kiwanis on Pennybrook Road.

Assault

A report of assault was logged at 3:31 p.m. Saturday at Walmart on Lynnway.

Assault and Battery

A report of assault and battery was taken at 1:51 p.m. Friday on Woodman Street.

Con/Scam

Reports of scams were taken Friday at 1:57 p.m. on Flint Street, and Saturday at 10:04 a.m. on Holyoke Street and at 10:51 a.m. onBellevue Road.

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances Friday at 7:01 a.m. on Essex Street; 8:11 a.m. on Broad Street; 10:21 a.m.on Mt. Vernon Street; 11:36 a.m. on Lynnway; 8:15 p.m. and again at 8:27 p.m. on Curwin Terrace; 10:42 p.m. on Lynnway; and 11:01 p.m. on Union Street.

Saturday reports included 2:03 a.m. on High Street, 3:26 a.m. on Newhall Street, 9:08 a.m. at the shelter on Washington Street, 9:32 a.m. at Dunkin Donuts on Lewis Street, 11:32 a.m. on Huss Court, and 11:29 p.m. on Alison Way.

Fights

Reports of fights Friday at 1:04 a.m. and again at 1:08 a.m. on Central Avenue, 7:10 a.m. on High Street, Apartment 101, and 3:11 p.m. on Parrott Street.

A Saturday fight was reported at 12:30 a.m. on  High Street and again at 6:19 a.m. at Curwin Circle. Another fight was logged at 1:08 p.m. on Exchange Street.

Fire Reports

Reports of fires Friday at 8:20 p.m. on Oak Street and 8:39 p.m. on Munroe Street,On Saturday, fire calls came in at 3:40 p.m. on Churchill Place and 7:21 p.m. on LynnwayHazardous Conditions

Reports of hazardous conditions Friday at 10:02 a.m. at Bay View Avenue and Western Avenue, 10:28 p.m. on Churchill Place, and 10:46 p.m.  on Lynnfield Street.

Saturday incidents were reported at 1:28 p.m. on Locust Street and 11:50 p.m. on Western Avenue, Apartment 15.

Larceny

Reports of larceny Friday at 9:50 a.m. on Echo Grove Avenue, 9:56 a.m. on Western Avenue, 10:51 a.m. at Speedway Gas Station on 120 Liberty Street, 12:16 p.m. on Graves Avenue, and 5:56 p.m. on Willow Street.

On Saturday, larceny was reported at 9:28 p.m. on Washington Street.

Missing Persons

Reports of missing persons Friday at 1:22 p.m. on Deer Park, 5:19 p.m. on Essex Street, and 5:33 p.m. on Strawberry Avenue.

Saturday reports included 6:07 p.m. on Shepard Street; 6:36 p.m. on Sewall Street; and 11:50 p.m. on Portland Street

Neighborhood Problems

Reports of neighborhood problems were logged Friday at 10:41 a.m. at Barrett Court ; 5:49 p.m. on High Rock Street; and 9:04 p.m. on  Allen Avenue.

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting was taken Friday at 9:16 a.m. on Central Avenue.

Suspicious Activity

Suspicious activity was reported Friday at 11:44 p.m. on Collins Street.

Threats

A threat was reported Saturday at 12:50 p.m. at 9 Fiske Avenue, Apartment 1.

Trespassing

Reports of trespassing Friday at 3:52 a.m. on Lewis Street; 5:54 a.m. on Central Avenue, Floors 2–3; 1:59 p.m. at 21 Joyce Street; and 5:56 p.m. on Broad Street.

Saturday reports included 11 a.m. on State Street, 5:50 p.m. at Walmart on  Lynnway, and 10:41 p.m. on Broad Street

Reports of 911 hang-ups at 5:53 p.m. Saturday on Lafayette Street and 7 p.m. on Community Road.

Assist Citizen

Reports of citizen assistance at 5:40 p.m. on Green Street and 9:14 p.m. on Colgate Road. Both services rendered. 

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Pleasant Street. Report taken.

Found/Lost Property

Reports of found/lost property at 9:27 a.m., 9:28 a.m., and again at 9:28 a.m. Saturday on Pleasant Street and 6:28 a.m. on Smith Street. Services rendered for all. 

General Complaints

Reports of general complaints at 6:32 a.m. Saturday on Front Street and 9:30 p.m. on Rose Avenue. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle complaint of a moving vehicle at 11:14 a.m.Saturday on Humphrey Street and Leicester Road. Could not locate. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 8:54 a.m. Saturday on Pleasant Street. Verbal warning. 

Property Checks

Reports of property checks at 6:40 p.m. Saturday on Community Road and 6:43 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue. Services rendered for both.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 9:54 a.m. Saturday on Atlantic Avenue. Investigated.

Animal Complaint

A report of an animal complaint at 2:45 p.m. on Aborn Street at Washington Street. Caller reported two loose dogs. Could not locate/GOA; a report at 5:31 p.m. on Gedney Drive. Caller believed a dog had been left out in the rain for an extended period. Area check performed.

A report of citizen assistance at 3:10 a.m. Saturday on Aborn Street. A party was looking to talk to officers about her boyfriend’s drug behavior. A man walked into the station stating his friend’s license plate was taken from his vehicle. Services rendered; a report at 5:52 p.m. at J.C. Penney on Andover Street. Party repored a staff accusing her of stealing. Services rendered.

A report of disturbance/party/music at 1:30 p.m. on Veterans Memorial Drive. Caller reported his neighbors yelling loudly. Peace restored.

A report of larceny at 7:31 a.m. Saturday on Shore Drive. Caller reported waking up to find that his vehicle had all four wheels taken in the night. Investigated. 

Lost or Found Property

A report of lost or found property at 12:10 p.m. Saturday on Washington Street. Party reported losing his work permit in Boston. Investigated.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:24 p.m. Saturday on Buttonwood Lane. Caller reported a hit and run. Services rendered.
