MARBLEHEAD — Marblehead High School is pleased to announce Jonathan Strzempek as the head coach for the varsity girls ice hockey team for the 2025-2026 season. Strzempek is a dedicated coach and educator with a deep passion for sports and mentoring student-athletes. With a lifelong love of hockey, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the rink.
Most recently, Strzempek served as coach of Marblehead’s boys junior varsity hockey team before stepping into the role of interim head coach for the girls varsity team in December 2024. His leadership during this time was instrumental in the team’s success and growth.
In addition to his coaching role, Strzempek is a social studies teacher at Marblehead High and also serves as the junior varsity baseball coach. His diverse coaching experience and commitment to his students make him a well-rounded and effective leader both on and off the ice.
“Jon did an outstanding job on short notice this winter,” said Marblehead Athletic Director Kent Wheeler. “I look forward to seeing how he builds on his success with an offseason to prepare for next winter.”
