LYNN

Arrests

Renold Altidor, 29, of Atlantic Street, was arrested at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and a straight warrant.

Joshua Demos, 40, of Whitting Street, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday on charges of kidnapping, larceny from a person, unarmed robbery, assault and battery, and a straight warrant.

Emanuel Coreano, 42, of Whiting Street, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday on charges of assault to rob a person over 65 while armed and a straight warrant.

Isaiah Gonzalez, 28, of [Address not provided], was arrested at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, trespassing, distributing a Class B drug, two default warrants, and resisting arrest.

911 hang-up calls were reported at 9:13 a.m. Wednesday at Broadway, 1:59 p.m. at Market Square, 2:23 p.m. at O’Callaghan Way, 3:07 p.m. at Burns Street, 3:52 p.m. at Boston Street, 9:06 p.m. at Lynnfield Street, and 9:15 p.m. at Chatham Street.

Larceny

Reports of larceny were taken at 11:11 a.m. Wednesday at the Shelter on Washington Street, 1:39 p.m. at the Lynnway, and 4:37 p.m. at Bickford Street.

Missing Person

A missing person was reported at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Avenue.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Motor vehicle accidents were reported at 6:52 a.m. Wednesday at Lynnfield Street, 9:18 a.m. at Broadway, 5:05 p.m. at Western Avenue, and 5:06 p.m. at Western Avenue.

Noise

Noise complaints were reported at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday on Chatham Street, 1:08 a.m. on Silsbee Street, 2:45 a.m. on Broad Street, 4:54 p.m. on Hanover Street, 6:07 p.m. on Childs Street, and 11:31 p.m. on Washington Street.

Robbery

A robbery was reported at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday at Lynnway.

Suspicious Activity

Suspicious activity was reported at 3:32 p.m. Wednesday at Rantoul Avenue and at 7:17 p.m. at Baldwin Street.

Threats

Reports of threats were taken at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday at Pickering Junior High on Conomo Avenue and at 7:35 p.m. at Fayette Street.

Trespassing

Trespassing incidents were reported at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday at Silsbee Street, 10:04 a.m. at Liberty Street, 11:00 a.m. at Fellsmere Street, 7:14 p.m. at Lynn Shore Drive, 8:13 p.m. at Atlantic Street, 8:20 p.m. at High Street, and 10:47 p.m. at Market Street.

Vandalism

Vandalism was reported at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday at Dorinda Circle and at 7:36 p.m. at Centre Street.

911 Hang-Up

A report of a 911 hang-up at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday on May Street.

Alarm Burglar

A report of an alarm burglar at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday on Rowland Street.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 6:53 a.m. Wednesday on Pleasant Street.

A report of a disabled motor vehicle at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday on Lafayette Street and Maple Street.

A report of a motor vehicle moving complaint at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday on Pleasant Street and Devereux Street.

Property Checks

Reports of property checks at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday on West Shore Drive, 9:13 p.m. on Community Road and 9:19 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue.

Tree/Branch Down

A report of a tree/branch down at 7:33 a.m. Wednesday on Tedesco Street.

PEABODY

Arrests

Edgar Francisco Pimentel, 39, of Herbert Street, Lynn, was arrested for another department warrant.

Jose M. Pena, 32, of Essex Street, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to signal at 10:48 p.m. on Lynn Street.

Summons

Carlos Roberto Lopes Dos Santos, 41, of Northend Street, will be summoned for number plate violation to conceal ID, uninsured motor vehicle, and unregistered motor vehicle at 7:02 p.m. on Caller Street. 

Dalvin Mota Vargas, 31, of Washington Street, Lynn, will be summoned for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 10:20 p.m. on Lynnfield Street.

Animal Control

A report of a black/white pit bull that defecates daily on a patch of grass in front of the reporting party’s house and the owner does not pick it up at 9:04 a.m. on Northend Street. Notice of complaint was sent to the owner.

Disturbance

A report of loud noise at 12:48 a.m. on Tracey Street. Apartment agreed to keep the music down; A report of a female party yelling that the caller had struck her vehicle and attempted to gain entrance to his car at 12:41 p.m. on Andover Street. Officers arrived on scene, parties went on their separate ways; A report of a broken down vehicle at 1:09 p.m. on Newbury Street; A report of a motor vehicle accident with a pole, no injuries at 1:24 p.m. on Peabody Road.

Harassment

A report of harassment at 7:03 p.m. on Andover Street.

Larceny

A report of larceny of valuables from a vehicle at 3:49 p.m. on Howley Street.

Threats

A report of threats via email at 1:26 p.m. on Squanto Road. No clear threats, officer will document; A report of threatening texts/phone calls at 9:35 p.m. on Fulton Street.

SAUGUS

Arrests

Frank Coughlin, a 17-and-over male of Rainbow Circle, was arrested at 11:34 a.m. Wednesday for a charge of shoplifting by asportation. 

Michael P. Mara, a 17-and-over male of Sherwood Forest Lane, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday for four warrants. 

Daniel G. Traina, a 17-and-over male of Denver Street, was arrested at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday for a charge of a probation violation warrant. 

Alarm

A report of a burglar alarm at 2:53 p.m. Wednesday on Western Avenue. Accidental/defective alarm.

Animal Complaint

A report of an animal complaint at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday on Richard Street. The animal control officer was going to follow up on a previous call. Services rendered.

Assist Citizen

A report of citizen assistance at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday at Extra Space Storage on Broadway. Caller reported her items were removed from the storage unit by her husband. Services rendered.

Found Property

A walk-in report of found property at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday on Central Street. A woman walked into the station and reported finding a package from US customs delivered to her home that doesn’t belong to her. Services rendered; a walk-in report at 3:40 p.m. at Walmart on Broadway. A man walked into the station and reported finding a wallet on the roadway. Services rendered.   

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday on Broadway at Main Street. Caller reported they were involved in an accident and needed assistance. Report taken.

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday on Meadow Lane. Verbal warning. 

Property Damage

A report of property damage at 9:04 a.m. Wednesday at Veterans School on Hurd Avenue. Caller reported a broken window on the exterior of the Veterans School near room 113. Referred to other agency.

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 11:34 a.m. Wednesday at Home Depot on Broadway. Loss prevention reported detaining a male shoplifter. Arrest of a 17 and over male.

Suspicious Activities

A report of suspicious activity at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday on Hammersmith Drive. Caller reported a person with long black hair, black clothes, and a backpack knocking on doors. Investigated; a report at 3:34 p.m. at Bob’s Discount Furniture on Broadway. An employee reported a new tent had appeared behind the building. Investigated.

Suspicious Persons

A report of a suspicious person at 4:51 p.m. Tuesday on Collins Avenue. Caller reported a male carrying a dark backpack and a hacksaw. He was up at the construction site. Arrest of a 17 and over male; a report at 4:53 p.m. on Margate Avenue. Caller reported a man sitting on a chair slouched over for an hour. Services rendered.

SWAMPSCOTT

Area Checks

Reports of area checks at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday on Pittman Road, 11:17 a.m. on Elm Place, 11:54 a.m. on Burpee Terrace, and 1:26 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue.

Disturbance

Reports of a disturbance at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday on Paradise Road.

Larceny

Reports of larceny at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday on Ocean View Road.

Motor Vehicles

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday on Humphrey Street, 1:38 p.m. on Paradise Road, 2:07 p.m. on Humphrey Street, 4:51 p.m. on Burrill Street, 8:03 p.m. on Walker Road, and 8:13 p.m. on Salem Street.

Suspicious Activity

Reports of suspicious activity at 5:09 p.m. Wednesday on Archer Street. The caller reported a man with a machete in the rear of the property cutting down trees, who took off running.
