Bylaw Violation
A report of a bylaw violation at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday on Biscayne Avenue. Officers conducted a survey of a house on Biscayne Avenue. This was performed because the Saugus PD received a complaint of unregistered motor vehicles parked on the property in violation of a town bylaw. Departmental action.
Motor Vehicles
A report of a break and entry into a motor vehicle at 8 a.m. Tuesday on Central Street. Caller reported his Nissan Altima was broken into overnight. Owner confirmed no items were taken. Services rendered.
A report of a motor vehicle accident at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday at Kowloon on Broadway. A two-car accident was reported in the high-speed lane. Removed to hospital; a report at 4:59 p.m. in the Godfrieds Plaza on Walnut Street at Broadway. A third-party caller reported his wife was involved in an accident, and the other operator refused to provide his information. No police service necessary.
Property Damage
A report of property damage at 8:19 p.m. Tuesday at Dunkin on Hamilton Street. An employee reported a potential customer walked into a glass window payne and broke it. Investigated.
Shoplifting
A report of shoplifting at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday at Macy’s on Broadway. Caller reported it appeared there were three people bullying a young woman on the sidewalk and they had guided her into the business. Officers reported loss prevention was detaining a shoplifter. Arrest of a 17 and over female.
Suspicious Activity
A report of suspicious activity at 8:58 a.m. Tuesday at J. Pace and Sons on Main Street. Caller reported they received a bad check. It was confirmed no fraud was committed and it was an employee error. Investigated.
