To the editor:
I am writing to share my support for re-election of MaryEllen Fletcher to the Swampscott Select Board. In my 51+ years of living in this town, I have never had anyone go out of their way to do something as helpful for me in our local government as MaryEllen has.
In speaking with her one day, I mentioned the lack of handicap parking spaces at Eisman’s Beach and how it made things harder for those of us with mobility challenges to access the beach. To my surprise, just days later, four handicap spots appeared in the parking lot. This shows how much she cares and how quickly she acts to help members of our community.
MaryEllen listens to the needs of our residents and takes real steps to make things better. She is an outstanding member of the Select Board and will continue to advocate for all of us.
Please vote for MaryEllen. She does things for people.
