LTTE: Why I trust MaryEllen Fletcher

To the editor

April 13, 2025 by To the editor

To the editor:

My name is Judith Kester, and I live on Pine Street. I would like to see MaryEllen Fletcher re-elected to the Select Board for another three years, and I’ll tell you why.

I’m a Vietnam Era Veteran, and I graduated from Swampscott High School. I have an associate degree in rehabilitation and a bachelor’s degree in public health thanks to the Vietnam veteran’s college bill.

MaryEllen has been fair to the residents of Pine Street and Erie Street regarding the building size of the proposed Veteran’s preference housing. We need this housing for the veterans so they can stay near public transportation to get to medical appointments, especially if the appointments are in Boston.

MaryEllen has taken the time to speak with us, and since she’s been on the Select Board, she has attended all Veterans events. MaryEllen has done her homework with this and countless other projects needed in Swampscott. Trust is important, and I trust her.

Please, on April 29 vote for Mary Ellen Fletcher for the Select Board. We need her experience.
