“That was a super competitive High School tennis match. It really could have gone either way, a few points here and there. I was very proud of Nina, she did not give up, and played hard for every single point. Also, Callie Gilmore had a close match in third singles. It was her first varsity match, and she will continue to get better and better,” Marblehead coach Tracy Ackerman said. “As usual, I could count on my doubles team to win their matches. Our players lost their composure at times tonight and we need to be better as coaches making sure that everyone on the court is fully engaged. We have really put ourselves in a hole as far as the GBL goes. One of our goals was to win the conference this season and we have given ourselves no margin for error the rest of the way,” Rams coach Chris LeBlanc said. “Hopefully we can get right, we have a huge rivalry game on Wednesday with English.”
