LYNN — Every three years, the Lynn Vocational Technical Institute Alumni Association, representing the school formerly known as Lynn Trade, honors graduates who have made significant contributions to their fields and communities. This year’s 13 Hall of Fame inductees represent a wide range of accomplishments in engineering, military service, public safety, sports, business, education, and civic leadership.

The induction ceremony will be held Friday, May 2, at 6 p.m. at Spinelli’s on Route 1 South in Lynnfield. Tickets cost $100, and organizers encourage community support to keep the tradition alive and recognize the legacy of Lynn Tech graduates.

Notably, five of this year’s honorees are military veterans — a reminder of Lynn Tech’s long-standing role in preparing graduates to serve and lead, both in uniform and beyond.

Dale Bennett
An engineering pioneer and Navy veteran, Dale Bennett built a distinguished career at companies such as Lockheed Martin after attending top-tier institutions. Now retired in Florida, he credits Lynn Tech’s machine shop with instilling the foundational skills that launched his path.

Daniel J. Caufield
A longtime military officer, Daniel Caufield now serves as Chief Operations Officer for the Montana VA Healthcare System, overseeing care for more than 48,000 veterans across 17 facilities. His career exemplifies a lifelong dedication to service.

Edward Allen Marcin
Master Chief Warrant Officer Edward Marcin served more than 44 years in uniform, including three tours in Vietnam. A Lynn Trade print shop graduate, he went on to complete 46 military and academic courses and remains active in veteran leadership.

Sean Martin
A U.S. Army veteran and local business owner, Sean Martin is the founder of Martin Electrical Services and a Lynn firefighter. His dual commitment to public safety and technical excellence is rooted in his time at Lynn Tech.

Nicole McClain
The first African American woman elected as a Lynn councilor-at-large, Nicole McClain served in the Army National Guard, deploying in 2004 and 2008. She continues to lead on issues of equity, community engagement, and veteran advocacy.

David Bryson
Secretary of the Lynn Tech Alumni Association, Bryson plays a vital role in keeping alumni connected and supporting school initiatives.

Louis Byrd
A star athlete and proud Lynn Tech graduate, Byrd left a lasting mark on the city’s basketball community before his passing last year.

Brian D’Amico
As HR Director at Wayne Alarm Systems, D’Amico pairs a strong academic record with professional excellence and ongoing doctoral studies.

Jovan “Jae” Holland
A standout athlete and Fisher College business graduate, Holland serves as Director of Fan and Entertainment for the Boston Red Sox.

Leanne McGuinness
Originally from Lynn, McGuinness began her healthcare journey at Lynn Tech’s Health Tech program and is now a nurse practitioner.

Robert Merryman
A Lynn business owner and community sports advocate, Merryman runs RAM Electrical Consulting and founded Lights Out Shooting Gym.

Andrea Pezzulo Satterwhite
A Lynn School Committee member, Satterwhite’s career in nursing and public service reflects a strong foundation in health tech education.

Chrysoula (Chrys) Hatzis Varvounis
Valedictorian of Lynn Tech’s Sales and Marketing program, Varvounis now leads a Salem-based accounting firm and remains active in regional civic organizations.

For those interested in attending or supporting the event, more information and ticket details are available at www.lvtiaa.org. Organizers encourage alumni, families, and community members to celebrate the achievements of Lynn Tech graduates and help sustain the legacy of vocational excellence.
