Arrests

Ramon Luna Mojica, 26, of Newhall Street, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and straight warrant.

Hector Rivera, 29, of Autumn Street, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Tuesday on charges of straight warrant and drug possession to distribute.

Keithon Perry, 26, of Hilltop Drive, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. Tuesday on charges of drug possession to distribute, inspection sticker violation, and violation of the city knife ordinance.

Michelle Braunack, 42, of Liberty Street, was arrested at 11:09 p.m. Tuesday on charges of ordinance violation: drinking in public.

Reports of 911 hang-ups at 7:28 a.m. Tuesday on Rogers Avenue, 11:14 a.m. on Granite Street, 11:31 a.m. on Suffolk Court, 2:20 p.m. on Farrar Street, 3:02 p.m. on Huron Street, 3:27 p.m. on Oxford Street, 4:19 p.m. on Green Street, and 7:05 p.m. on Chatham Street.

A report of a pedestrian hit by a car at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday on Ocean Avenue. The person was transported to the hospital.

SAUGUS

Arrest

Edward Francis Malatesta, a 17-and-over male of Summer Street, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. for chargess of operating under the influence of liquor (5th offense), license suspended for operating under the influence, negligent operating of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, number plate violation to conceal ID, and no inspection/sticker. 

Michael Arthur Nunn, a 17-and-over male of Walnut Street, was attested at 8:30 p.m. for a charge of a straight warrant. 

Alarm

A report of a burglar alarm at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday on Sweetwater Street. Accidental/defective alarm. 

Animal Complaint

A report of an animal complaint at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday on Hanson Road. Caller reported a loose German Shepherd. Services rendered.

Bylaw Violation

A report of a bylaw violation at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday on Broadway. Caller reported a white Home Depot truck occupied by two males and one female dumping trash bags behind the building. Debris removed from road. 

Credit Card Fraud

A report of credit card fraud at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday on Eustis Street. Caller reported credit card fraud. Services rendered. 

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday on Dreeme Street. Caller reported that a group of youths from an earlier circumstance at the school were in front of her home, causing a disturbance. Report taken; a report at 11:45 p.m. at Lowe’s on Broadway. Lowe’s monitoring center reported a large group of vehicle starting to form in the parking lot. Services rendered.

Found Property

A report of found property at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday on Lincoln Avenue at Chestnut Street. Services rendered. 

Hazardous Road Conditions

A report of a hazardous road condition at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday at the Kohl’s entrance on Walnut Street. Caller reported a bumper in the roadway. Debris removed from road; a report at 3:57 p.m. on Centennial Avenue. Caller reported a large branch that had fallen directly onto the road. DPW notified.  

Hazmat Level 0

A report of a hazmat level 0 at 10:31 a.m. Tuesday on Willis Street. Caller reported debris dumped as well as a yellow chemical in a bottle. Engine 3 reported no hazmat. It was a bottle of bubbles with a wand. Debris removed from road.

Identity Fraud

A walk-in report of identity fraud at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday on Cleveland Avenue. A man walked into the station and reported that his identity had been compromised. Report taken; a walk-in report at 7:36 p.m. at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. Report taken.  

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street. 911 transfer reported an accident with injury. Removed to hospital; a report at 4:58 p.m. at Honey Baked Ham on Broadway. Caller reported a three-car accident with one possibly injured. Medical assistance refused; a report at 8:41 p.m. on Walnut Street. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday on Ballard Street at Lincoln Avenue. Verbal warning.

Noise Complaint

A report of a noise complaint at 12:59 a.m. Tuesday on Central Street. Caller reported people screaming at each other and playing basketball. Dispersed gathering. 

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday at Marshalls on Broadway. Caller reported a shoplifting that occurred. Investigated. 

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday at Breakheart on Forest Street. Caller reported he was fishing and hooked something heavy. It appeared to be a bloody sock. State Police notified.
