Swampscott’s girls lacrosse team had it going Tuesday evening – and then some.
The Big Blue (10-3) took down Northeastern Conference foe Gloucester, 16-0, at Blocksidge Field. Lilah Caplan recorded a four-save shutout.
Eight players scored goals in a versatile offensive performance. Victoria Pierro was the star of stars, compiling four goals to go with two assists. She was followed by Quinn Kelleher (3 goals, 2 assists), Cecelia Tripp (2 goals, 2 assists), Lea Beatrice (2 goals, assist), Fiona Keaney (2 goals, assist), Bridget Maloney (goal, assist), Caroline Reen (goal), and Chloe Puzzo (goal).
Swampscott returns to action Monday in Salem. Opening face-off is slated for 4:30 p.m.

The Tanners (10-2) picked up a league win against the Chieftains – milestones included. Ally Bettencourt (goal, 3 assists) and Madi Barrett (2 goals, assist) each dished out their 100th career assist. Also contributing were Brooke Lomasney (2 goals, 3 assists), Bella Kassis (goal, assist), Ari Alvarado (2 goals, assist), Victoria Vaz (2 goals, assist), Leah Bresnahan (3 goals, assist), Maia Davis (assist), and Caitlin Snow (7 saves).

The Big Blue reeled in the Fishermen by 10 goals in Gloucester. Chase Russo (4 goals) and Emerson Joy ripped hat tricks, while Luke Michigan (assist) won 17 of 19 face-offs.
Swampscott’s Timmy Sheehan saved five shots, while the rest of the offensive load was carried by Jason Rothwell (2 goals), Tyler Ostroff (2 goals, 2 assists), Liam Keaney (2 goals, assist), Thomas Mello (goal, assist), Jack Raymond (goal, assist), and Gabe Tripp (assist).

The Prep (13-1) spread out the offensive wealth en route to a four-goal win against host Malden Catholic. Goals were scored by Thomas Randall, Jackson Quigley, Mac Crawford, Cam McCarthy, Sam Kelly, and Nolan Convey. Chase Kenyon won 7 of 11 face-offs, while Sam Pruell made three key saves.

The Bulldogs pounced on Medford and escaped victorious. Do-it-all Danivel Diroche won the high jump, javelin, and 400m hurdles, while Madisen McHale placed second in the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:38.

In set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-18, and 15-13, the Tigers (11-2) came from behind to knock off Salem Academy. Elmer Duran had 32 assists, nine digs, five aces, and three kills. He was followed by Didlaire Jacques Jr. (13 kills, 5 digs, 4 blocks, 2 aces), Jayden Tran (8 kills, 6 digs, 3 aces), Anthoni Diaz (8 kills), Cristhian Penaloza (8 digs), Bryan Robles (6 digs, 5 kills, 2 blocks), and Jacob DeLeon (5 digs, 4 kills, 2 aces, block).
