Arrests

Carlos Eduardo Alves Da Silva, 31, of Allens Street in Gloucester, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. Sunday on a warrant out of Peabody District Court.

Gregory W. James, 42, of Wallis Street, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Sunday on a felony warrant out of Peabody District Court for aggravated assault, strangulation or suffocation, and assault and battery.

Larry Blue, 57, of Broadway in Lynnfield, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Sunday on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possession of a Class E drug.

Bruce William Montross, 36, of White Street in Boston, was arrested at 10:02 p.m. Sunday on charges of breaking and entering a building at night for a felony and malicious destruction of property under $1,200.

Reports of area checks at 1:24 a.m. at Northshore Mall, 1:25 a.m. on Keys Drive, 1:34 a.m. on Baker Street, 2:09 a.m. at Plaza Motel on Newbury Street, 4:48 p.m. at Spring Hill Suites on Newbury Street, 4:52 p.m. at Hampton Inn on Newbury Street, 4:56 p.m. at Jayden Apartments on Dearborn Road, 4:59 p.m. at Highlands at Dearborn on Magnolia Way, 5:12 p.m. at Plaza Motel on Newbury Street, 5:40 p.m. at Bishop Fenwick High School on Margin Street, 11:05 p.m. at Chabad of Peabody on Lowell Street, and 11:32 p.m. at Temple Ner Tamid on Lowell Street.

Building/Property Check

Reports of building/property checks at 12:43 a.m. at Bishop Fenwick High School on Margin Street and 2:13 a.m. at Speedway on Lowell Street.

Disturbance/Party/Music

A report of loud music at 12:03 a.m. Sunday at Avalon at Cranebrook. Officers found a crowd of approximately 30 people that had dispersed upon arrival. Officers checked the area for damage and documented the incident.

A report at 12:05 a.m. at El Fogon De La Rubia Restaurant and Bar on Walnut Street. Music was turned down for the night; services rendered.

A report at 8:59 p.m. on Swampscott Avenue. Caller reported loud party with a DJ. Music was turned down; peace restored.

911 Hangups

Reports of 911 hangups at 11:33 a.m. on Smoke Rise Circle, 3:58 p.m. on Cross Street, 4:31 p.m. on Cross Street, 7:49 p.m. at Lahey Medical Center on Essex Center Drive, and 11:57 p.m. on Palmer Avenue. All determined to be accidental or unfounded.

Medical Emergency

Reports of medical emergencies throughout the day, including chest pain at 4:26 a.m. on Reed Road; foot pain at 5:20 a.m. on Newbury Street; vomiting at 7 a.m. on Sprague Street; a fall at 1:01 p.m. on Main Street; and multiple transports to Salem Hospital.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a single-vehicle crash at 9:24 a.m. on Burke Street. The vehicle struck a tree, hydrant, and possibly a home. The driver refused transport and was cited for electronic device use and speeding. The car was towed.

A report at 6:44 p.m. of a two-car accident at Wilson Square Gas on Andover Street. One vehicle was towed. No injuries reported. Investigated.

A report at 8:41 p.m. of a single-car accident at Plaza Motel on Newbury Street. State Police to handle.

Motor vehicle stops throughout the day included verbal warnings, citation warnings, and one arrest. Notably, a stop at 8:33 p.m. on Lowell Street at School Street resulted in an arrest for driving with a suspended license and drug possession.

Suspicious Activity

A report at 2:57 a.m. of a suspicious motor vehicle parked outside Convenient MD Urgent Care on Andover Street. The occupant was picked up by a friend.

A report at 10:08 p.m. of a man attempting to break into a home on Cashman Road. A suspect matching the description was later arrested nearby.

Trespass Tow

A report at 1:07 a.m. of a vehicle trespassing at Dunkin’ on Washington Street. Vehicle towed and entered into NICB.

SAUGUS

Assist Citizen

A report of citizen assistance at 12:28 a.m. Sunday at Home Depot on Broadway. A key holder for the business was requesting a walkthrough with police officers in response to a burglar alarm. Services rendered. 

DPW Complaint

A report of a DPW complaint at 11:12 p.m. Sunday on Lewis O Gray Drive. Call was for a sewage backup. DPW notified; a report at 12:18 p.m. on Wildwood Terrace. Caller stated sewage was backing up into his basement. DPW notified. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:49 a.m. Sunday on Wilbur Avenue. Caller reported a single-car accident into a wall. Report taken; a report at 11:25 a.m. at Ocean State Job Lot on Broadway. Services rendered. 

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 2:35 a.m. Sunday on Great Woods Road. Caller reported a suspicious male sitting in a car in his driveway. Investigated, nothing found. 

Noise Complaint

A report of a noise complaint at 1:03 a.m. Sunday at Evans Elementary School on E. Denver Street. Caller reported kids playing basketball. Dispersed gathering. 

Suspicious Person

A report of a suspicious person at 3:18 p.m. Sunday at Hooters on Broadway. Services rendered. 

Unwanted Party

A report of an unwanted party at 1:03 p.m. Sunday at Dunkin’ on Lincoln Avenue. Services rendered. 

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 6:41 a.m. Sunday on Hamilton Street. Caller reported his neighbor had vandalized his door again during the night. Services rendered.
