LYNN — On June 14, the City of Lynn will once again rally together for a cause that hits close to home for many. The fourth annual “We Do Recover” walk, organized by Lynners Against Drug Abuse (LADA) and led by Lenny Peña, promises to be a powerful event centered around hope, healing and community strength.
Participants will gather at the iconic High Rock Tower for registration beginning at 10 a.m. The walk officially kicks off at 11 a.m., winding its way through the city and concluding at El Centro (85 Munroe St.). This symbolic route serves as both a literal and metaphorical journey, representing the path from struggle to support.
This year’s event features:
- Honoree speakers who will share inspiring stories of recovery and resilience
- Narcan education and public information to empower community members with life-saving knowledge
- Community resource tables to connect families to vital services
- Free T-shirts, games, prizes and refreshments to celebrate unity and participation
LADA’s mission is clear: to stand up to addiction with compassion, education and collective action. With each year, this walk grows stronger, bringing together those affected by addiction, allies, service providers and civic leaders.
Attendees are encouraged to donate and support the cause by scanning the Venmo QR code featured in the event flyer or by contacting Peña directly at 781-632-8646. More information can be found at:
