LTTE: Trump was right about everything, really?

To the editor

To the editor:

I love those MAGA hats that say, “Trump was right about everything.” Talk about a short cut to glory.

MAGA promoters don’t want to put out any effort to really figure out if their hero is right about tariffs or Gaza, due process or no process. That would take studying history, political science, law. They just want to hand over power to the bootlickers right now! That doesn’t require effort, that just takes loyalty and loud voices!

It is so much easier, and so much more arrogant, to just advertise your guy as the most correct one of all. You don’t have to know who really is the smartest.  You just pick a horse with a beautiful orange mane, pretend he is the fastest horse to ever run, and declare him the perpetual winner.

This all reminds me of Chief Justice John Roberts, who recently worried out loud that “Rule of law is endangered.” So many people are being disrespectful of judges. Poor, baby. Guess who gave #47 the power to make threats and commit crimes against judges in the first place? Mr. Chief Justice himself!

This is doublespeak of the lowest order. Give somebody immunity from prosecution, then complain about how outrageously that somebody is using the new freedom you just gave him! Come on, Mr. Roberts, Trump was right about everything, and his opponents like judges are wrong about everything! Better get used to the new world you just created sir!
