LYNN — Comcast RISE, a grant initiative aimed at supporting local businesses, will be present at the North Shore Latino Business Association (NSLBA)’s Networking and Monthly General Business Meeting to discuss potential opportunities for growth.

The event will kick off May 21 at 6 p.m., located at 33 Sutton St. NSLBA will provide grant packages to 100 recipients in Metro Boston (within Route 128), according to the press release.

It’s a comprehensive grant package that spans technology upgrades, creative production services, a media schedule, educational resources, a $5,000 cash grant, as well as consulting services for businesses.

Applications are currently open and will be accepted until May 31. For those interested in applying, people can find more at the Comcast Rise website: comcastrise.com/.

Comcast RISE is now in its fifth year of working to foster community development and economic growth. The organization has previously distributed more than $140 million in monetary, marketing, and technology grants in order to support more than 14,000 small businesses.

The NSLBA will also have an exciting slew of opportunities for people looking for either their first steps in a new career or looking to expand their networks in order to strengthen their businesses. A job fair on June 23 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. — also at 33 Sutton St. — will give residents a chance to meet with local employers, explore open positions, and connect with professionals from a variety of industries.

That same day, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. the NSLBA will host a Small Business EXPO that brings together entrepreneurs, professionals and small businesses for a chance to connect and grow. A raffle will be run during the event, and a business mixer will take place afterwards in the NSLBA office.

The organization will also be hosting an “All in White Cruise 2025” event on July 18, where people who venture out onto the yacht will blend networking and fun into one evening.
