Lynn Classical’s softball team had its moments in Wednesday evening’s home game against Revere – plating six runs and leading late – but Revere scored five runs in the seventh inning to force extras.
From there, the Patriots scored four runs in the eighth inning en route to a 10-6 win. Revere evened the season series after Classical won the first matchup, 11-7, back in April.
Leading the Rams were freshman Mia Duncan (3-for-4, RBI) and senior Nevaeh Eth (2-for-5, 2 B, RBI, R).
Classical fell to 12-7, while Revere upped its record to 13-6.

Kate Andriano (2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI), Luka Bornhorst (3-for-4, RBI, 3 R), and Tessa Francis (3-for-4, 3 RBI) made up a three-headed monster in Marblehead’s road win. Francis allowed just two runs (both unearned) and three hits to go with 12 strikeouts in the circle.

Classical (15-4) took down a Greater Boston League foe with Christian Figueroa (4 1/3 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 7 K) performing well from the bump. Offensive damage was done by Mark Walsh (2-for-4, RBI, 2 R), Ronal Brea (2-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 R), and Dami Munoz (1-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 R).

Talk about a successful Senior Day. Swampscott (8-10) poured it on en route to a dominant win against Northeast Metro at Frank DeFelice Diamond. Pitcher Zach Alex earned the win and combined with Spencer Reames and Will Brogna for the shutout.
Nick Berube (4 H, 2 RBI, 3 R), Andrew Paster (RBI, R), Wiley Shepherd (RBI, R), and Nat Mahler (H, R) led Swampscott’s high-powered offense.

Ian Brown was a man on a mission in Lynn’s season finale, scoring five goals and winning the game in sudden-death double overtime. Jordan Em (3 G) netted two late goals to force overtime after the Jets trailed, 8-6, with three minutes remaining in the game. Maegan Baker chipped in a goal.

St. John’s Prep (16-1) looked as if it was postseason ready, doubling up BC High to win its sixth consecutive Catholic Conference title. Kevin Correa, Ryan DeLucia, Sam Wilmot and goalie Mattheus Du Plessis (9 S) led a dominant defensive effort, while Josh Barton (2 G, A), Ryan McCarthy (2 G), Madden McGowan (G, A), and Beckett Lee (G, A) guided the offense.

Classical (4-13) finished its regular season in style, knocking off traditional archrival Lynn English at home. Victor Bun, Ori Beato, and Donovan Lam went 1-2-3 in singles, while Gabriel Martin and Remmy Mai picked up a second doubles win.
