LYNNFIELD — The School Committee voted to ratify a new three-year contract agreement that covers all three bargaining units (units A, B, and C) for the period of 2025-2028.
School Committee Chair Kristen Elworthy noted everyone at the table was “really proud” of the collaboration that helped move the process along.
Town Administrator Rob Dolan and President of the Lynnfield Teachers Association (LTA) Alex Celucci were present during the meeting and approached the stand to sign the contract.
The LTA and the School Committee released a joint statement elaborating on the next steps for the contract.
“The Lynnfield Teachers Association (LTA) and the Lynnfield School Committee are pleased to announce that the LTA has ratified a new three-year contract agreement covering all three bargaining units for the period of 2025–2028. The contract will now proceed to the School Committee for ratification.
“We are proud that both groups were able to come together in collaboration and good faith to reach an agreement prior to the expiration of the current contract. This contract reflects our shared commitment to supporting the students of Lynnfield by investing in a strong, stable, and high-quality educational environment,” the statement said.
They continued, “Should the June 4 override be approved by voters, there will be no cuts to educators’ positions under the ratified contract. This contract will ensure continuity for our students and will allow Lynnfield Public Schools to continue offering the high-quality educational environment that our district is known for.”
“Together, we believe this contract represents a fair and competitive package that supports our educators, makes Lynnfield a competitive place to teach and learn, and affirms our mutual goal: delivering the best possible education for every Lynnfield student,” the statement read.
