SWAMPSCOTT — Mission on the Bay will be hosting a “More Than Meals” fundraiser in support of My Brother’s Table (MBT) on June 25 from 6-9 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to show up at 141 Humphrey St. to show their support for MBT. The press release described it as “an event to celebrate and support the Table’s mission of providing nourishing meals with hospitality and unconditional love.”

The event will be held on the rooftop deck of the restaurant and will include food, music, a cash bar, a raffle, and an opportunity to support the organization’s mission.

For any resident interested in showing their support for MBT, tickets to the event can be purchased at http://mybrotherstable.org/mission.

More Than Meals is sponsored by Institution For Savings Bank, Eastern Bank, Techno-Tax Inc., Fidelity, and Lynn Community Health Center. “Their support reflects a shared belief in the power of community and compassion,” the press release said.

My Brother’s Table was founded in 1982, and is the largest soup kitchen on the North Shore. Open for over 13,500 consecutive days, the organization has provided more than 8.9 million free meals and outreach to men, women, and children in need.

“The Table welcomes all without screening or deeming processes, believing that all people need and deserve a place where they can receive a warm welcome, no matter their circumstances,” the press release added.
