HarborFest returns to Swampscott

June 8, 2025 by Zach Laird

SWAMPSCOTT — The community rallied at Fisherman’s Beach on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the annual Harborfest, where several local vendors parked food trucks and set up shop along Humphrey Street to participate in the event.

People gathered around the Fisherman’s Beach parking lot by noon to enjoy food trucks and vendors, a boat showcase, and activities for kids. Swampscott Yacht Club partnered with Swampscott Recreation to bring this event back to life for the community

While the community showed support for an annual event and local establishments and vendors, there was the feeling of competition in the air — and along with it came the 2nd Annual Chowder Contest, where five establishments competing for the “thrown:” Mission on the Bay,  Sea Level Oyster Bar, The Landing at Vinnen Square, Patriot Seafoods, and Dockside Pub.

However, the friendly competition was equaled by the welcoming nature of the crowd, who were happy to bring back the classic staple for the community.
