SAUGUS — The Saugus Public Library is looking for input from community members through surveys they currently have open.
“We currently have two public surveys that are open online and paper copies in various locations here at the library, Town Hall and the Senior Center. There is also a youth services survey in addition to the community survey for the teen population,” Library Director Alan Thibeault said.
He continued that the surveys will be open until June 20.
The survey asks community members how they feel about the current operations in the library, the staff and what they’d like to see more of within the next six years.
In the survey the library asks what five services are most important to community members including programs, online services, study spaces, discount museum passes and the community room.
The survey also asks community members to select up to five potential new or expanded services/offerings including more adult performing arts, a library of things, gaming consoles and fix-it classes/clinics.
Those who fill out the survey are also welcome to add additional comments on how the library can show improvement in the next six years.
The teen survey is similar asking teens what potential programs they’d be interested in attending like arts and crafts, tabletop gaming, college/career workshops, cooking and life skills workshops.
Both the community survey and teen survey can be found on the library website.
